Every pool owner knows that black algae is impossible
to destroy. Once it has attacked your swimming pool, you might
as well just leave it alone or fill-in your swimming pool.
Now, there is a solution to this once dreaded
plague that was impossible to permanently remove and now you
can begin to enjoy your swimming pool again, just like when
it was brand new.

Dear
Mr. Nash:
Six years ago, my
wife and I bought a house with a twenty year old gunite/plaster
swimming pool. Unknown to me, the pool had sat empty for some
time and was never maintained properly.
I inherited a black
algae problem, which I spent years unsuccessfully trying to
combat. When I finally drained the pool, I found thousands of
tiny "pits" in the plaster, each a home to black algae.
I tried acid washing
and pool paint, but the algae always came back. I became frustrated
and even considered having the pool filled in. Luckily, I came
across the UGlassIt website and decided to order the book.
Four months ago
my sons and I resurfaced the pool with fiberglass. The project
involved some work, which was well rewarded in the end. I now
have a beautiful swimming pool which I enjoy and proud to show
to my friends. Best of all,
no
more black algae.
Best wishes,
Jim Atkinson

NOTE: Mr.
Atkinson only sent us a photo of the pool after it was fiberglassed
and filled with water. We are unable to show the new
surface after the fiberglass was applied, but I believe our
customer has made the point about destroying the black algae,
so we included his photos.
